"I'll would a big cat, with a big head, and a long brown fur".

This was the biggest dream that I have ever had, I was a child with some skinny skinny european cats, almost wild, and that you could cuddle only for a while. Cats that used to live outside, someone big hunters, others that spend their whole lives sleeping, eating and playing (This was unbelievable for country cats !)

All these cats were destined to a short life: cars, diseases, poisoned mouthfuls, wild animal, decreed the disappearance, never announced, almost never verified. The remembrances are focused, only over 3 cats: Mucia a big female Blu&white, first cat's memory  in my childhood, a black mackerel with was used to sleep with Bongo, the dog, and Isterix a tortie insomuch wild to survive double of the others.

The years passed away, and all changes... from a home with a garden in a little town, I transfer myself in a apartment  in Turin, for a freedom and animal lover, I don't  conceive a pet imprisoned among 4 walls.

Rosella, my wife would be a pet, she never have had, and she terribly feels the absence, but her need collide with my opinions... but destiny stored something delightful for us!

One day, a friend call us, telling that she have found a beautiful european kitten and she would find someone that will adopt him. She invite us to see him...

The immagine that I'll preserve for ever & ever in my mind, is  that  of a not much illuminated corridor in which, at a call, appeared an outline with a tall question mark tail, and in the meanwhile he arrived to the sunshine, he revealed to be :

"...a big cat, with a big head, and a long brown fur ... and green eyes"

We instantly adopt him and we call Pelù.

With Pelù I've reconsidered my ideas about the cats living in apartment, and the consequence was that seeing a Maine Coon's litter (and specially the mother) I fall in love with these big cats.

Margot arrived, then her daughter Gapeaux, than her nephew Nanà

Also the apartment are plenty of hidden hazards, and now Margot and Gapeaux are passed through the rainbow bridge, but Nanà that stunned, talkative,mistrustful and loving 15 minutes a day, together Pelù makes our life more rich.
